Tuscan Sloppy Joes

Serves 6

Ground chicken is cooked with diced bell peppers and onions, mixed with a bit of barbecue sauce and Mama Francesca Parmesan, Basil & Oregano and served on a toasted bun.

Suggestion: Serve over a baked potato for a gluten-free option.

Ingredients

1 cup Mama Francesca Parmesan, Basil & Oregano
1 Tbsp. Olive Oil
1 Onion, diced
½ cup Diced Red Bell Pepper
½ cup Diced Green Bell Pepper
1 lb. Ground Chicken
1½ cups Barbecue Sauce
6 Hamburger Buns, toasted

Directions

  1. Warm a sauté pan over high heat. Add the olive oil, onions and bell peppers and cook for 2–3 minutes.
  2. Add the ground chicken and continue cooking over medium heat for 8–10 minutes, breaking up the meat to brown the chicken evenly.
  3. Add the barbecue sauce and lower the heat. Fold in Mama Francesca Parmesan, Basil & Oregano.
  4. Fill each of the buns with the chicken mixture and serve hot.
